We start by listening:
- Do you, your family or your organization want to organize and focus your giving? A Donor Advised Fund provides flexibility and benefits beyond a private foundation, allowing you to stay closely involved.
- Would you like us to identify and select the most effective organizations in which to invest? You may want to consider a Field of Interest fund, which lets you target an area that interests you, or an Unrestricted Fund that we can put to work for the community’s pressing needs or promising opportunities.
- Can we help you leave a legacy? You can contribute through an estate gift or other charitable gift vehicles (life insurance, IRAs, etc.) today knowing that your community will have a better tomorrow.

The Tom Nehl Story
Tom Nehl loved Community Theater. He was devoted to supporting the local thespian community, and set up an advised fund at The Community Foundation to fund his passion. Donor Advised Fund
You can support one or more of the non-profit, school or religious organizations of your choice through a Donor Advised Fund. It’s easy to create and allows you to remain actively involved in recommending grants.
Field of Interest Fund
A Field of Interest Fund brings you right to the heart of an issue that moves you. By creating a Field of Interest Fund, you can concentrate your resources to a specific area of concern, and The Community Foundation will devote your grantmaking to that area forever.
Unrestricted Fund
Establishing an Unrestricted Fund entrusts The Community Foundation to determine where the community’s needs are greatest, and to concentrate resources to fulfill that effort.
Designated Agency Endowment Fund
Do you want to ensure that the organization about which you care the most receives charitable contributions from you forever? Establish a permanent Designated Agency Endowment Fund. Your gift becomes an endowed fund of The Community Foundation.
Scholarship/Award Fund
Your establishment of a Scholarship or Award endowed fund could transform the life of future students. A Scholarship/Award Fund means that a promising student can pursue his/her dreams with your assistance.
