Our Impact
Much has changed in Northeast Florida since our founding in 1964, but our key focus on philanthropic leadership remains the same. Magnifying the generous contributions of our donors, and engaging individuals and organizations around the causes they care about, we are truly able to achieve our goals to advance community priorities, while also inspiring generosity for current and future generations.
After more than five decades of igniting and galvanizing change, we have a unique vantage point and expertise to help current and emerging philanthropists to define and navigate their own philanthropic journeys. Through initiatives such as The Donors Forum and the Weaver Philanthropic Initiative, we illuminate issues and create avenues to address ever-evolving change.
The Donors Forum welcomes fundholders and individuals representing Northeast Florida foundations to engage in conversations focused on topics such as family philanthropy, affordable housing and grade-level reading. Presenting a firsthand look at issues and detailing potential solutions, we create better awareness, understanding and philanthropic leadership in our community.
The Community Foundation is proud to have had a hand in identifying and guiding the next generation of philanthropists since 1999. As part of this initiative, next-generation philanthropists participate in a six-month course of learning and hands-on grantmaking, to better inform their giving.
